My 1998 Jetta needs an exhaust

So i have a Jetta. 1998 GL, just an A-B car. But I noticed the exhaust was starting to sound funny, then i noticed a hole, so i stepped on my tailpipe and broke off most of the exhaust. It had rusted terribly. I am now in dire need of a complete cat-back set up that will last at least a couple more years til the car explodes or is ran off of a cliff. I was wanting to see if anyone knows the cheapest, quickest way to buy a cat-back set up or rig something up as long as it has a muffler and looks legit. I just dont want to spend money on a nice cat-back kit when the car is not worth much at all.
Should i be looking at getting one made, or buying a used one or what? I just want some tips. Thanks people!

I can;t run it open, when clutching, the RPM's drop so fast from no back pressure and it doesnt have time to compensate, so a lot of the time it stalls when clutching unless you give it gas a little to ease the rate RPM decline.
