Per this article, Saab will be shut down. I have always been a fan of the unique looks they have produced. Koenigsegg was looking to buy Saab from GM, but guessing that fell through. Too bad VW wouldn't buy this company like they have the entire auto industry.

It looks like they still are.  GM is just pulling some stunts trying to get more interest IMO.  Of course I wouldn't put it past them to not sell Saab when they should be happy to get anything these days.

Maybe Obama should have visted Spyker instead of going to Copenhagen to make a deal now that he runs GM ;)

Hopefully Spyker can do some good things with Saab.

Glad too see GM agreed to sell but didn't like that Spyker agreed to give them $326 million in stocks. Saab's are great cars and hope they continue or get better.

Do you think Saab is worth less than 326 million?  I think it has potential to be worth more than that, but recent years have kind of put a damper on the brand.

Glad Saab isn't dead.

I do think Saab is worth that much. My thinking about the $326 million in stocks is, will GM have any saying on the Spyker products since it owns so much stock?

From what Left Lane News says that 326m in stock is less than 1% of voting rights.
So I dont think GM will have any say.
